About this event
'October 2026 Regional Performance: Ningyo Joruri Bunraku' will be held in Hiroshima City. This performance consists of two parts: a matinee (day) session and an evening session. The day session features 'Sesshu Gappo ga Tsuji' (Gappo's House scene) and 'Gojobashi,' while the evening session showcases the 250th anniversary of the premiere of 'Katsuragawa Renri no Shigarami' (Rokkakudo scene, Obiya scene, and Michiyuki Oboro no Katsuragawa). The venue is the JMS Aster Plaza Medium Hall. Tickets are 5,000 yen for 1st-floor seats, 3,000 yen for 2nd-floor seats, and 1,500 yen for student tickets (available on the day only, student ID required). Preschool children are not admitted. Ticket holders will receive a complimentary performance program, and a backstage tour including explanations by puppeteers and a look behind the scenes is also planned.
