Yamato Night Museum

Held at the Yamato Museum in Kure City in August 2026, the 'Yamato Night Museum' is an event offering a special experience on summer nights. During the period, the opening hours of the Yamato Museum are extended until 21:00 for special nighttime opening. Of particular note is the light-up and video production of the 1/10 scale model of the battleship 'Yamato' displayed in the 1st floor Yamato Plaza. After 19:30, the 'Yamato', showing a fantastical appearance different from the daytime through light and video, gives visitors an extraordinary feeling. During this special night opening, permanent exhibitions can be enjoyed at no extra charge, with final admission at 20:30. In addition, an exhibition and workshop titled 'The World of Yamato Made with LEGO Blocks' will be held during the same period, offering a different way to enjoy the museum than during the daytime.
