Set against the islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea, "Setouchi Island Trail in Kure Tobishima 2026 Sunset Edition" takes runners through the scenic beauty of twilight. It is a one-of-a-kind sunset race where you can enjoy the ever-changing sky and sea while running along breathtaking trails overlooking the island-dotted Setouchi seascape. Adopting a wave start system tailored to the running ability of the participants, the race is designed so that all runners finish around 18:00, when the Seto Inland Sea sparkles beautifully. Beyond competing, a moving experience of sharing the Setouchi sunset awaits all participants. Two courses are available: the Challenge Course (approx. 20 km) and the Short Course (approx. 12 km), catering to beginners and advanced runners alike. Registration opens at 11:00, followed by the opening ceremony, briefing, and the wave start. The target finish time is 18:00, the time limit and awards ceremony begin at 19:00, and the event concludes at 20:00.
