Memanbetsu Airport Sky Festival 2026

At the 'Memanbetsu Airport Sky Festival 2026,' held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Memanbetsu Airport Passenger Terminal Building, a C-2 transport aircraft flight experience will take place in commemoration of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the JASDF Abashiri Sub Base. Events are also planned in areas that are usually restricted, creating airport liveliness and providing visitors with a special time. Advance application is required for the C-2 transport aircraft flight experience, and it is open to elementary school students and older. In addition, applications will be accepted for control tower tours open to elementary school through university students. General viewing of the aircraft is also possible after the flight experience, but may be canceled depending on weather or equipment operational conditions.
