Bihoku Sky Lantern Fest 2026

One of Japan's largest sky lantern events, the Bihoku Sky Lantern Fest, will be held on September 26 and 27, 2026, at the Grand Lawn Square in the National Bihoku Hillside Park, Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The magical sight of approximately 3,000 sky lanterns taking to the night sky will surely be an unforgettable, special experience for visitors. In addition to lantern releases, the venue features street performances, live music by recording artists, a wide variety of food trucks, and nostalgic festival game booths, offering entertainment all day for both children and adults. At the same event held in Osaka last year, lantern tickets were so popular that they sold out early.
