A traditional festival featuring dancing that continues late into the night, the 54th Takamiya Kagura Festival offers an opportunity to enjoy magnificent performances by 6 kagura troupes active in Takamiya Town along with special guest kagura troupes. Takamiya Kagura is characterized by its fast tempo set to an 8-beat musical accompaniment (hayashi), providing spectators with an exhilarating rhythm. All performing kagura troupes are designated as Intangible Folk Cultural Properties of Hiroshima Prefecture, making this a feature-packed event that attracts many fans from afar.
