About this event

This is a hands-on experience event to make your own hariko (paper mache) doll using 'Morito Toyonaga's Fun Hariko Kit,' a collaboration product with Morito Toyonaga, an up-and-coming folk craft artist from Okinawa. Participants will paint paper-made hariko with acrylic paints to complete a doll in original colors. The kit includes a plain hariko made by Mr. Toyonaga and Holbein Acryla Gouache (set of 5 primary colors), allowing participants to also learn color mixing techniques while enjoying blending paints. The target audience is 1st-grade elementary school students and older, and children under 10 must be accompanied by a guardian. Wearing clothes that can get dirty is recommended, and bringing an apron is also encouraged. This course is a program that can be easily experienced in half a day or one day as a 'One-Day Course' to brighten up daily life.
