Fun Ride Hiroshima in Yamagata Cycle Land 2026

This cycling event allows participants to experience the charm of the region while taking in the magnificent nature of the West Chugoku Mountains. Riders will cycle through the scenic landscapes of the West Chugoku Mountains spanning across Akiota Town and Kitahiroshima Town, fully enjoying warm interactions with local people and delicious regional cuisine. Superb courses acclaimed as 'one of Japan's leading satoyama mountain cycling routes' have been prepared, and at aid stations utilizing the sites of former elementary schools, local residents will offer a powerful and enthusiastic welcome. Along with regional renowned spring water to refresh tired bodies, substantial local dishes worthy of the gourmet ride's reputation are provided, strongly supporting participants aiming to finish the ride. Two courses are available: the 'Morimin 100 Course' (107 km / elevation gain of 2,050 m), an authentic mountain course providing an overwhelming sense of accomplishment as you ride through two beautiful terraced rice fields, and the 'Maitaro 60 Course' (60 km / elevation gain of 1,080 m), allowing participants to casually enjoy satoyama cycling within beautiful scenery. An e-Bike (electric-assisted bicycle) rental plan is also available so that even first-time satoyama riders can take on the challenge with peace of mind. To ensure all cyclists can aim for the goal safely, a comprehensive support system is in place to prepare for physical fatigue or unforeseen accidents, with mechanical support cars guiding participants along the entire route all the way to the finish line.
