30th Taishakukyo Scola Kogen Cross Country Race

About this event

A popular running event held at Taishakukyo Scola Kogen in Jinsekikogen Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, where participants can fully experience nature in autumn. This cross-country race takes runners through a scenic natural course in Taishakukyo amid beautiful autumn foliage, offering fresh highland air and scenery unavailable in urban marathons. Participants receive a barbecue lunch, admission to the rock bath (iwa-furo), and participation gifts, making it an enjoyable full day of leisure beyond just running. Courses of 3km, 5km, and 8km are available, making it recommended for families and beginner runners alike. On race day, Hide Fukumoto of The Newspaper, serving as Jinsekikogen Town Goodwill Ambassador, and skyrunning athlete Naoyuki Takamae will join as guest participants. Food and beverage sales from local kitchen cars (food trucks) are also scheduled.
