Jinseki Community Festival 2026

About this event

The 'Jinseki Community Festival 2026', held in Jinsekikogen Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a hands-on disaster prevention event combining 'entertainment' and 'disaster prevention'. In response to the increasing frequency and scale of natural disasters in recent years and the issues with conventional disaster drills, it renews disaster preparedness learning into an enjoyable, accessible format for everyone. The event plans activities such as simulated disaster experiences using VR goggles, 'Drone and Power Shovel Experiences' where participants can operate small heavy machinery and enjoy drone racing, and a 'Disaster Prevention Time Trial' where evacuation actions during disasters can be experienced in a time trial format. Additionally, there is ample content to acquire practical disaster prevention skills, such as emergency food cooking led by local disaster prevention specialists, cardboard bed making, soup kitchen workshops, and water fire extinguisher training. Corporate booths will also exhibit and offer hands-on experiences with disaster prevention products and services. This festival aims to foster interaction among a wide range of generations from children to the elderly, deepen connections among local residents, and cultivate the next generation of disaster prevention leaders. Open to parents and children with no reservations required, it provides an easy opportunity to drop by and learn about disaster prevention while having fun.
