About this event
The Iwakuni Castle Ropeway Night Operation Event, held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, offers a special experience to enjoy the long autumn evening. Around the ropeway summit station, a mystical bamboo lantern monument illumination will be held to create an enchanting atmosphere. Furthermore, various activities to fully enjoy the autumn night are planned, such as kitchen car food trucks and astronomical observation. In addition, from 19:30, an approximately 2-minute fireworks display will be launched at the riverbed below Kintai Bridge to liven up the event even more. The event hours and ropeway operating hours are from 17:00 to 21:00. The round-trip ropeway fare is 900 yen for adults and 400 yen for children. Free admission applies to those who present a welfare privilege boarding pass. As congestion around the venue is expected on the day, the use of public transportation is recommended. In case of stormy weather, the decision on whether to hold the event will be made at 15:00 on the previous day, Friday, November 20, and announced on the Iwakuni City website, the Tourism Promotion Division website, and the official Iwakuni City LINE account.
