Renaissa Popular Song Festival

About this event

Continuing since 2007, this traditional popular song event where kayo enthusiasts sing passionately marks its 20th edition. In addition to the stage where Kitaura popular song enthusiasts showcase the results of their daily practice, Hiromi Yamaguchi from Teichiku Records will join as a special guest. In Part 1, masterpieces by master lyricists and composers from Yamaguchi Prefecture, such as Tetsuro Hoshino, Osamu Yoshioka, Jun Suzuki, Norimasa Nakamura, and Masami Tao, will be passionately sung. In Part 2, the "Kitaura Star Red and White Enka Competition," bringing together talented performers from Abu, Hagi, Nagato, and Toyoura, will take place, and visitors can also enjoy a dance show by "Engeki Club Hanaguruma" as an attraction. In Part 3, a popular song show by guest singers will unfold, featuring Takeshi Yamazaki and Toshiko Kawashima from King Records, and Shuzo Taniguchi from Nippon Crown. This is a must-see event for kayo fans, where you can fully enjoy numerous heart-touching singing voices.
