Why not take a walk across Akiyoshidai in autumn? Across the vast karst plateau, Japanese pampas grass and cogon grass gently sway, and grass autumn foliage (kusamomiji) dyes the entire expanse in autumn colors. Seasonal flowers at your feet also add color, greeting you with new scenery at every step. Feeling a pleasant breeze, this walking tour lets you leisurely stroll with a geo guide to savor the beautiful autumn expressions woven by Akiyoshidai's nature. At Akiyoshidai, grass foliage can be seen until early December. You can also enjoy flowers such as gentians and Swertia tosaensis (murasakisemburi). This tour is an approximately 7 km brisk walking course that departs from Chojagamori Parking Lot, passes through Myokenbaru and Wakatakeyama, stops for a bento box lunch at Kanmuriyama, and returns to Chojagamori Parking Lot. The required time is about 4.5 hours.
