About this event
Held in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, the "29th Kano Hometown Festival" comes alive as a community festival centered around the Kano General Gymnasium area. On the day, visitors can enjoy stage events such as brass band performances and comical magic shows. Hands-on attractions such as the popular sweet potato digging and sweetfish (ayu) catching will also be available, offering plenty to keep families entertained all day. In addition, an exciting raffle lottery and the mochimaki (rice-cake toss) characteristic of Yamaguchi Prefecture will be held to energize the venue. Various bazaar stalls will also be present, allowing visitors to savor local specialty products and gourmet foods.
