About this event
From the ukiyo-e collection assembled by Tokushima-born businessman Yasusaburo Hara, this exhibition focuses on series of landscape prints by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige, leading ukiyo-e artists of the late Edo period. Serving as an opportunity to rediscover the charm of the ukiyo-e loved by Hara, this exhibition presents Hokusai's "Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji" (Fugaku Sanjurokkei) and Hiroshige's "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido" (Tokaido Gojusan-tsugi no Uchi), among others. Works by Tokushima-born Japanese-style painter Roen Kumon collected by Hara will also be displayed.
