About this event

Organized by the Tokushima Prefectural Handicraft Artists Association, the "54th Nationwide Open Submission Tokushima Prefectural Handicraft Exhibition" brings together and displays a diverse range of handicraft works submitted from all over the country. Works from a wide variety of fields will be exhibited, including kumihimo braided cords, dyeing and weaving, ceramics, cloisonne enamel, and patchwork. Submissions are limited to unreleased works; group works are generally not eligible for awards, with exceptions for schools and elementary school student groups. The entry fee varies depending on the number of pieces and the applicant category, but it is free for applicants from outside the prefecture. Schedule details such as delivery dates, application deadlines, award ceremony dates, and delivery methods are also provided. The venue is the 3rd floor of Awagin Hall (Tokushima Prefectural Kyodo Bunka Kaikan). This exhibition is a valuable opportunity for handicraft enthusiasts nationwide to showcase their skills and creativity, allowing visitors to encounter outstanding works across a wide range of genres.
