6th Komatsushima "Headwind" Half Marathon

The "6th Komatsushima Headwind Half Marathon", held in Komatsushima City, Tokushima Prefecture, is a marathon event themed around defying the wind and running with the wind. Three divisions are available: Half Marathon, 10km, and Enjoy Run. Especially in the Half Marathon and 10km divisions, a special course is set that runs through the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force 24th Air Squadron Base, an area normally inaccessible to the public. This rare experience is a unique highlight of the Komatsushima "Headwind" Marathon. Runners can enjoy beautiful seaside views while feeling the pleasant sea breeze (headwind) as they run. A 10km course has been newly added, making it easier for more runners to participate. The Self-Defense Force course is not included in the Enjoy Run division. The event is held at JA Aisai Ryokuchi, and participants can receive participation prizes such as an original T-shirt and specialty products of Komatsushima City.
