Held at the Mima City Regional Exchange Center (Mize), "Mize Film Festival: 'O-Shukatsu 3' ~Koushun! Jinsei Memories~" is the third installment in the "O-Shukatsu" series that makes you laugh, cry, and learn valuable life lessons. Aya (Ayame Gouriki), the eldest daughter of Shinichi Ohara (Isao Hashizume) and his wife Chikako (Atsuko Takahata), decides to marry her fiance Ryota (Masaru Mizuno), but just before the wedding, it develops into a major turmoil involving both families. Meanwhile, Shinichi's junior Hiroshi Kato (Fumiyo Kohinata) cannot accept the reality that his mother Toyoko's (Yoshiko Mita) dementia is progressing and treats her with harsh words, but Chikako tells him, "Even with dementia, the heart does not forget." Depicting the happiness of a family sharing memories, familiar faces such as Yuki Matsushita, Masahiko Nishimura, Norika Fujiwara, Renji Ishibashi, Kumiko Fujiyoshi, LiLiCo, Tsutomu Katsumata, and Yoshihiko Hakamada reunite. Yoshiko Mita portrays a mother trying to reach out for love even through the fog of memory, while Fumiyo Kohinata expresses a son's wavering heart, engraving both sorrow and warmth into their time together. Atsuko Takahata and Isao Hashizume add a gentle resonance to the story with exchanges just like a real married couple, creating a moving work where past and present overlap and family emotions come to life.
