About this event

The 39th Hagi Festival, held in Kan'onji City, Kagawa Prefecture, takes place at two venues: Hagiwara-ji Temple and Onohara Central Park. On the day at the Hagiwara-ji Temple venue, an open-air tea ceremony (nodate), goeika Buddhist hymn dedication, calligraphy performances (Kaseda High School, Takamatsu Commercial High School), a koto concert, and an ikebana flower arrangement performance (Kaseda High School) are scheduled. At the Onohara Central Park venue, starting with the opening parade and ceremony, the schedule features performances by Kan'onji Humming Wind, the Onohara Elementary School Marching Band, Hawaiian hula dance by "Aloha Leia Makana", Sanuki Onohara Belly Dance Club, Kan'onji Chibikko Rhythmic Gymnastics, HIPPO.DANCE SCHOOL, a balloon performance by Balloon Performer Ray, Onohara Children's Ryuo Taiko drumming, WATLIKE, Onohara Ondo dance, a Kagawa Five Arrows PR segment, Mickey Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, a live show by TOMOKA. (Tomoka Fujioka), and a comedy stage by special guest duo "Itsumo Kokokara". The finale concludes with an ending ceremony. The event program details are for Tuesday, September 23, 2025 (national holiday). As sponsored affiliated events, a pétanque tournament, a gateball tournament, and the Hagi Cup Tennis Tournament will also be held.
