About this event

The traditional Vietnamese Children's Day celebration, the "Moon Festival (Tết Trung Thu)," will be held in Saijo City. With the theme of Vietnamese folktales, the 2026 Moon Festival offers a fun way to experience Vietnamese culture. Many exciting activities await, such as making revolving lanterns (zoetrope lanterns) and game challenges. Japanese games will also be featured this year, and participants who complete challenges and fill their stamp cards will receive sweets (first 50 participants). Through bamboo dancing and traditional games, this event brings Vietnamese culture closer to you. You can also listen to Vietnamese folktales related to the moon and precious stories about local culture. The lantern-making workshop requires advance registration and is limited to the first 10 participants. It is a community-oriented event open to anyone free of charge, making it safe and enjoyable for first-time visitors and families with children. With traditional Vietnamese play areas and classic Japanese games available at the venue, it serves as an experiential program connecting the local community with the world.
