Under the theme "Festivals transform people, and people revolutionize towns," the "Ehime YOSAKOI Festival" held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture, aims to be a sacred ground for all kinds of performers. For 2026, rules have been revised: music selection is now unrestricted and naruko clappers are optional, allowing performances with diverse music and styles beyond the traditional Yosakoi framework, including hip-hop, jazz, cheer dance, and street dance. The extra-large stage installed in the green park (Ryokuchi Park, approx. 10m deep and 20m wide) accommodates simultaneous performances by up to 50 dancers, providing the ultimate moment to unleash each team's energy. There are no rankings or awards; the festival focuses purely on enjoying the performance and exploring the town of Ozu, and beginner teams are warmly welcomed. Traffic restrictions will be implemented in the Honmachi and Nakamachi areas. For both Honmachi and Nakamachi venues, traffic restrictions will be in effect from 11:30 to 17:30 on Sunday, October 18, 2026, and will be lifted as soon as safety is confirmed after the performances end. The Ryokuchi Park Parking Lot is recommended, and a special parking lot is set up at the Tekkyo Oku Ground. The Ozu City Hall Parking Lot, Tourist Parking Lot No. 1, and the paid Ozu Civic Hall Parking Lot are also available, but heavy congestion is expected with general tourists. Large buses may use the Kawa-no-Eki Large Bus Parking Lot.
