About this event
The "Mikawa Summer Evening Festival" will be held in Kumakogen Town, Ehime Prefecture. The event will kick off at 17:00 on Saturday, August 22, 2026 (Reiwa 8) in front of the Kumakogen Town Office Mikawa Branch. The program features live performances by local bands, a traditional candy toss (kashi-maki), stage presentations by Mikawa Junior High School students, a Bon Odori dance contest, and a special stage performance by Yoshimoto comedians. The finale of the program is a spectacular fireworks display of approximately 500 rounds launched against the backdrop of Mimido Rock (Mimikodake). It is a community-rooted festival that colors the late summer night.
