About this event

Located in Uchiko Town, Kita District, Ehime Prefecture, Odamiyama Gorge is situated in the headwaters of the Niyodo River system and offers one of the finest gorge beauties in Shikoku. In autumn, more than 20 varieties of maple trees color the gorge, while large trees such as Shioji (Japanese water ash), Zelkova, maple, fir, and hemlock display beautiful autumn leaves. Goshiki-gawara, where clear waters and colorful river pebbles gather, is also an attractive highlight. While strolling along the 1.5-kilometer promenade maintained along the gorge, you can be soothed by the gentle flow of Kurokawa River and the chirping of wild birds. Along with autumn foliage, you can also enjoy the fresh greenery of spring, as well as the vibrant colors woven together by river stones, rock surfaces, and the river's water surface.
