Ainan Maranic: Food, Sea, and Sun 2026

About this event

Held on one of the country's most challenging courses utilizing the magnificent nature of Ainan Town in Ehime Prefecture, "Ainan Maranic: Food, Sea, and Sun 2026" is a non-competitive running event. Participants can enjoy breathtaking views such as Cape Komo and Ishigaki no Sato while savoring the rich culinary culture of Ainan Town. At aid stations, menus made with local specialties such as Ainan Gold (Kawachi Bankan citrus) and sea bream are provided to welcome runners. The approximately 53 km course has a 9-hour time limit and is geared toward strong runners, with an estimated full marathon finish time of within approximately 5 hours serving as a benchmark. Singer-song-runner SUI is also scheduled to participate as a guest runner. An Ainan Town specialty products set and an official event T-shirt are prepared as participation prizes.
