About this event
The "Yosakoi Kochi Cultural Festival 2026 Countdown Carnival" is a pre-event to build momentum for the "Yosakoi Kochi Cultural Festival 2026" opening on October 25, 2026. At the Eastern District Carnival held at Aki City Hall in Kochi Prefecture, performances by various cultural groups will be presented. Starting with an opening mochi toss, the program will feature an introduction of the Yosakoi Kochi Cultural Festival 2026, Hasuike Tachi Odori (Sword Dance), cultural exchange project introduction programs, Monobe Izanagi-ryu Kagura, and more. A traditional Yosakoi experience will be conducted during the finale, followed by another mochi toss at the end. Through this event, you can experience Kochi Prefecture's diverse culture and arts, and feel closer to the Yosakoi Kochi Cultural Festival 2026.
