Sukumo City's representative annual autumn event, 'Sukumo Citizens' Festival Matsuri 2026,' will be held on Saturday, October 10, Sunday, October 11, and Monday (national holiday), October 12, 2026. On the main day of Sunday, October 11, stage events start from 10:30 AM, featuring numerous programs enjoyable for both children and adults, such as sweets fishing and an ultra-spicy hot dog eating contest. From the evening, a live performance by Yoshimoto comedians will also take place to energize the venue. As the nighttime climax, a fireworks display launching approximately 4,000 fireworks will be held; set against the backdrop of Sukumo Bay, the spectacular display blooming in giant golden rings across the night sky will offer an emotional experience. Paid table seating is also available, allowing you to relax and enjoy the fireworks up close.
