About this event
This photo exhibition commemorates the publication of "Genshorin," a photo book that marks the culmination of the 34-year career of Kochi-based nature photographer Hiroshi Maeda. Held at the Floral Hall inside Kitagawa Village "Monet's Garden" Marmottan, about 30 works centered on those included in the photo book will be exhibited. The content allows visitors to experience the precious, rich brilliance of life dwelling in the few remaining primeval forests of Shikoku. Photographed over more than 30 years by a photographer deeply in love with the forest, these works capture the forest living vigorously despite facing the crisis of decline, carrying the wish that this serene world will be passed on to the future, delivering deep emotion to visitors. During the exhibition period, dates when the photographer is present will be scheduled, and a morning photography session is planned for Sunday, September 13.
