About this event

The Kitagawa Village Cultural Festival is an event aimed at expanding the visitor population and disseminating information about the village through initiatives centered on arts and culture. Various events will be held, including special exhibitions at the Nakaoka Shintaro Museum, artwork displays by local cultural groups, and a national calligraphy exhibition. In the Cultural Division Artwork Exhibition, submitted works from public open calls are displayed, and visitors can also enjoy an orchid exhibition by the Kitagawa Village Orchid Association and a flower exhibition by the Tosa Orchid Association East Late-Blooming Branch. In addition, the Nakaoka Shintaro Memorial Service at the Grave, the Autumn Special Exhibition at the Nakaoka Shintaro Museum, the Shosouin Kochi Traveling Exhibition, and the Nakaoka Uzan Memorial National Calligraphy Exhibition will be held. These events will take place at facilities in the village such as the Kitagawa Village Community Center and the Nakaoka Shintaro Museum, and admission is completely free for all. Open calls for artwork submissions were also conducted, accepting entries in general and high school divisions for the Cultural Division Artwork Exhibition and the Nakaoka Uzan Memorial National Calligraphy Exhibition.
