The 54th Umaji Village Cultural Festival

The "54th Umaji Village Cultural Festival" will be held to promote local arts and culture. A wide range of works will be exhibited, including creative pieces by nursery school children, drawings, crafts, penmanship, and calligraphy by local elementary and junior high school students, as well as Western-style paintings, calligraphy, handicrafts, sculptures/crafts, and photographs submitted by the general public. An open call for submissions is being conducted, with the application period running from Tuesday, October 13 to Wednesday, October 21, 2026. On the day of the event, a community interaction festival focusing on healthcare and welfare will be held simultaneously, featuring food and beverage sales such as directly-sourced fresh vegetables, inaka sushi (country-style sushi), and health-conscious bento boxes, alongside various hands-on workshops that children and adults alike can enjoy. It is an event where you can experience the rich culture and local flavor of Umaji Village.
