Stars and Lights Festival

About this event

Set in Green Park Hodono in Ino Town, Kochi Prefecture, this two-day event envelops visitors in light and starry skies within an autumn forest. The venue is adorned with gentle candlelight, creating a magical atmosphere as the sun sets. During the night sky guide by a starry sky guide, you can enjoy learning about constellations and celestial bodies while gazing at the stars spreading across the autumn night sky. In addition, at the live woodworking demonstration by woodcutters and woodworkers, you can watch up close as wood is transformed into works of art. With specialty gourmet food, crafts, and pleasant music, both adults and children can fully enjoy a moment in nature in their own way. Gourmet food vendors include Machikado Shokudo Harahachi, Sandaime Kanemitsu Farm, Nejiro, Nico cafe, Madoka, and LITTLE AWAJI from Awajishima, all appearing on both days. Craft and exhibition booths feature Hamada Washi, ms.veils in the Rhythm, naruki takahashi, and Ten to Sen. DJ sessions and musical performances will also be held, allowing visitors to spend a relaxing time surrounded by nature. The event kicks off at 15:00 with food, crafts, and music, followed by a woodworking live session at 16:00 (October 10 only) and candle lighting starting at 18:00. After enjoying stargazing enveloped by candlelight, the event concludes at 21:00. Because the venue is located in a mountainous area and temperatures can drop at night, wearing warm clothes such as winter gear is recommended. Additionally, since the ground gets dark at night, bringing comfortable walking shoes and a flashlight is advisable.
