Special Exhibition: 'Frogs of Tosa 2026'
Japanese name:企画展「土佐のカエル2026」
📅 Sat, Jul 4, 2026 - Sun, Sep 6, 2026
About this event
Held at Ochi Town Yokogurayama Museum of Natural History, the special exhibition 'Frogs of Tosa 2026' introduces the 'present' of frogs in Kochi Prefecture and Ochi Town. Frogs feed on small creatures such as grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, centipedes, and earthworms, making their presence proof of a rich natural environment. Frogs are also an essential food source for many animals including snakes, herons, raccoon dogs, and weasels; areas with many frogs are locations with diverse ecosystems that support them. This exhibition offers deep insights into the connections among creatures coexisting with frogs and the richness of nature. Related events such as 'How to Identify Tosa Frogs' and 'Touch-and-Feel: Frogs, Snakes, and Newts' are also scheduled.
