About this event

This is a special experiential event to connect with the rich nature of Otsuki Town. Through outdoor waterside plant observation, participants will learn about the world of rare plants, including familiar paddy weed species. After the observation, participants will arrange these plants inside glass containers to create a small terrarium capturing the waterside scenery of satoyama and rural landscapes. It offers an opportunity to look at the nature beneath one's feet, which often goes unnoticed, and leisurely enjoy the rich plant world spreading there. Led by the director of the Natural History Laboratory as the instructor, the event aims to help each participant deepen their interest in nature and broaden their understanding of local sustainable tourism and biodiversity.
