About this event

This event allows visitors to taste the village's prized doburoku (unrefined sake), featuring complimentary servings of doburoku and a fast-drinking competition. Performances of traditional arts by local cultural groups and students, calligraphy performances, and exhibitions of paintings and other artworks will also take place. Rice cake throwing (mochimaki) and food stalls will also be featured, aiming to revitalize the region by expanding the visitor population while contributing to preserving and handing down the village's doburoku culture. At this cultural festival where visitors can compare various doburoku from the village, agricultural produce evaluations and local foods will also be presented. Sales and complimentary servings of newly brewed doburoku will be held, allowing many doburoku fans to savor this year's 'flavor' and spend a blissful time. With a variety of events including a doburoku fast-drinking competition, a food corner bustling with vendors from inside and outside the village, performance shows such as calligraphy, traditional arts, and live comedy, and rice cake throwing to cap off the event finale, visitors can enjoy the entire day.
