Daikoku Festival at Toka Ebisu Shrine
Japanese name:だいこく祭【十日恵比須神社】
📅 Fri, Oct 2, 2026 - Sun, Oct 4, 2026
About this event
The "Daikoku Festival" will be held for three days from October 2 to 4, 2026, at Toka Ebisu Shrine in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. This new autumn festival aims to build connections (en) between people by fully engaging all five senses: seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and experiencing. During the festival, special prayer rituals and the distribution of limited-edition Goshuin shrine stamps will take place, and prayers of gratitude to Daikoku-sama will be lit alongside lantern lights. Additionally, within the shrine grounds, a gathering titled "Kami-nigiwai" will bring together Fukuoka-based professionals across arts, music, hands-on workshops, and food and drink to create a lively atmosphere. In particular, in honor of Daikoku-sama's divine virtue as the "protector deity of the nation," the ritual offering fees for the limited-edition amulet "Kanae Tai" will be donated as relief funds to Kumamoto Prefecture to support areas affected by the 2026 (Reiwa 8) Kumamoto Earthquake. This festival serves as an annual auspicious day for people wishing to be blessed with various connections in life, including not only romance, but also family, friends, and work.
