About this event
'Resonance of Drums 2026' will be held at Kurume City Plaza, bringing together top-class performers and dancers of taiko drums, Ryukyuan dance, and uta-sanshin (songs and sanshin) from Ishigaki Island and Okinawa Main Island. With numerous guest performers from local Fukuoka, this is a gorgeous RYUKYU ON STAGE presented on an unprecedented scale. A dynamic stage that lets you feel the wind of Yaeyama and hear the voice of the sea is expected. This performance is also drawing attention as the first Kyushu performance of 'Kotobuki-ryu Taiko' born in Yaeyama.
