Serious Adult School Trip! 2026 Nature Positive Tour

About this event

Held in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, 'Serious Adult School Trip! 2026 Nature Positive Tour' is a 3-day training tour for working adults themed around 'restoring' rather than 'using' nature. Through Ukiha's rich nature and community activities, participants will learn the concepts and practices of nature positivity. The tour includes a talk on local history and climate by the former mayor of Ukiha, forestry lectures and on-site inspections at the Ukiha Forestry Cooperative, forest therapy in the woods, and fieldwork exploring terraced rice fields and small-scale hydroelectric power generation. While listening to the words of local people active in forest care, regional water utilization, and terrace landscape preservation, participants will deeply reflect on the relationship between nature and humanity. It will be a special opportunity to learn, discuss, and encounter new perspectives just like during one's student days.
