This autumn foliage festival is held at Nomiyama Kannonji Temple in Sasaguri Town, Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture. Visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves across the entire temple grounds, which typically reach their peak from late October to late November. Highlights especially include the maple-lined approach to Tenno-in and the Enkianthus perulatus (dodan-tsutsuji) around the Hyaku-Kannondo. During the festival period, special viewings such as the opening of the Yugi Grand Pagoda and the unveiling of the Two-Headed Aizen Myo'o are conducted, and a rose garden is also opened where autumn roses can be enjoyed simultaneously. Additionally, the Kannon Market is held with around 10 food trucks and shops opening daily, creating a lively atmosphere. During the autumn leaf season, approximately 1,000 Japanese maple trees and dodan-tsutsuji shrubs color the grounds, enchanting visitors. At this temple visited by many worshipers praying for the fulfillment of their heartfelt wishes, you can enjoy beautiful autumn colors and various events.
