Fukuhara Sanso Special Public Opening

Fukuhara Sanso in Shikaoi Town, Hokkaido, is specially open to the public for a limited period in autumn. This garden was developed as a private residence by the founder of the local supermarket "Fukuhara", with approximately 300 Japanese mountain maples (Yamamomiji) planted across a vast area of about 8.5 hectares. The highlight is the "water mirror" view of autumn leaves reflected in the ponds and waterfalls, creating a magical scene during windless hours. Three ponds and five waterfalls are scattered throughout the grounds, and the well-maintained walking paths are flat and easy to walk, allowing visitors to leisurely enjoy viewing the autumn foliage. It is a place where you can spend an enriching autumn moment while enjoying the beautiful scenery woven by nature. Pets are also permitted.
