SAGA Tea Festival 2026

About this event

SAGA Tea Festival 2026 (The 80th National Tea Festival Saga Convention) is one of Japan's largest tea festivals, bringing together tea-producing regions and stakeholders from all over the country, and is being held in Saga Prefecture for the first time in 27 years. Visitors can enjoy tasting and comparing various teas gathered from within and outside the prefecture, including Ureshino tea, as well as hands-on experiences in tea brewing and tea tasting (kikicha). In addition to the sale of sweets and gourmet foods made with tea, unique attractions different from previous events are prepared, such as tea-themed tent saunas and footbaths. It is an event where you can experience new ways to enjoy tea beyond just drinking and tasting, while engaging with traditional tea culture. The content is designed for tea lovers as well as younger generations and children to easily feel the charm of tea.
