Yamada Sunflower Park: Autumn-Blooming Sunflowers

In late autumn, sunflower fields can be seen in the Yamada district in the northern part of Miyaki Town. Planted by the Yamada Sunflower Park Executive Committee utilizing terraced rice fields in the mountainous area, the sunflowers produce large, vibrant golden-yellow blooms. Offering a charm distinct from summer sunflowers, the beautiful scenery against the late autumn blue sky and the autumn leaves of Mt. Takatori attracts many tourists. Around mid-November when they reach full bloom, the area becomes lively with people seeking to photograph this spectacular view.
