About this event
At Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park resort in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, the annual large-scale fireworks event '13th Kyushu's No. 1 Grand Fireworks Festival' will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026. West Japan's largest scale of 22,000 fireworks will magnificently color the night sky against the backdrop of European-style streets lit by illuminations that have been ranked No. 1 in Japan for 13 consecutive years. Highlights include 1-shaku shell fireworks bursting on a grand scale with a diameter of about 300 meters and a spectacular finale that fills the sky right before your eyes. The 1-shaku shell competition, crafted with passion by Japan's world-class master pyrotechnicians, and the climax of a grand starmine launching 5,000 fireworks in the final 5 minutes are simply breathtaking. High-quality synchronization of music and fireworks is another hallmark of Huis Ten Bosch fireworks, blooming winter blossoms in an otherworldly night sky woven from European streets and illuminations. This year, in addition to the grand scale of 22,000 fireworks, the event elevates into an overwhelming one-night-only fireworks entertainment combined with glamorous special effects and night shows. The powerful fireworks launches are made even more glamorous with special effects such as pyrotechnics and lasers. Furthermore, the collaboration with a night show woven from live vocals, live musical performances, and fountains creates a more dramatic staging. The finale is a 20-minute grand finale, and the grand starmine of overwhelming scale and density filling the night sky will be a breathtaking, deeply moving experience. Special fireworks viewing seats and official hotel accommodation plans are also available, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks from various locations.
