Held in Unzen City, the citizen-participation concert Nostalgic Songs of Japan and the World - A Journey of the Heart Through Song will feature a harmonious performance of classic songs that everyone has hummed at least once, brought to life together by the local vocal music group Gioia and citizens gathered through a public audition. The concert will present a journey of the heart through song with many nostalgic pieces such as Hana, Takibi, Yama no Ongakuka, Do-Re-Mi Song, Oborozukiyo, and Les Champs-Elysees. Performers are Gioia and local citizens. Tickets are 500 yen (free for children under 4 sitting on a lap) and are scheduled to go on sale on Friday, July 24. The venue is the Multipurpose Hall at Azumacho Furusato Kaikan.
