Arie Hamankora Festival

At the "Arie Hamankora Festival" held at Marine Park Arie in Minamishimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture, colorful and varied fireworks illuminate the night sky. In particular, the massive 2-shaku shell (approx. 60 cm shell opening to a 500-meter diameter display)—rare in Kyushu—will overwhelm spectators. Lanterns (Shoro-to) and spirit boats (Shoro-bune) create an ethereal ambiance, offering a moving moment. The event runs from 14:00 to 22:00, with fireworks scheduled from 20:30 to 20:50. Free parking is also available around the venue.
