About this event
A "Parent-Child Fishing Tournament" will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at the Kamigoto Ocean Youth House in Shinkamigoto Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. Set at the Hamanoura Port Breakwater, it is a sabiki fishing tournament to enjoy catching many horse mackerel (aji). The target participants are elementary and junior high school students residing in the town accompanied by an adult (guardian), with a capacity of 20 pairs (around 40 people). The participation fee is 300 yen per pair. Applications are accepted by phone at Kamigoto Ocean Youth House (52-4654), with a deadline of Tuesday, September 29 at 5:00 PM. If lunch is needed, it can be requested at the time of application for an additional 400 yen per person. This tournament will be an excellent opportunity for children to experience the fun of fishing with their guardians and deepen their connection with nature.
