Goto Udon Festa ~Signal with Smoke!~

About this event

In Shinkamigoto Town, the birthplace of Goto Udon culture, a major event promoting the appeal of udon culture, "Goto Udon Festa ~Signal with Smoke!~", will be held. Famous regional udon varieties from across Japan, including Inaniwa Udon (Akita), Ise Udon (Mie), and Sanuki Udon (Kagawa), will gather at the venue for a dream collaboration with Goto Udon. In the ticketed regional udon tasting comparison, advance tickets (set of 4 tickets for 4 servings) are sold for 1,800 yen, and same-day tickets (set of 4 tickets for 4 servings) are sold for 2,000 yen, with individual same-day tickets available for purchase starting from 500 yen each. In addition, a grand product fair of Shinkamigoto Town will be held at the venue, offering kankoro-mochi sweet potato cakes, whale meat, dried fish, Goto beef burgers, Goto pork steaks, Akaushi beef skewers, and miscellaneous goods. A wide variety of gourmet food and specialties will gather from the Goto Islands and the sister town of Minamiaso Village. For food culture experiences, live demonstrations and free tastings of yaki-ago (grilled flying fish) as well as a Goto udon making experience (fee: 500 yen, limited to 20 people per day) will also be offered. Stage events will be extensive, with NCC Chinnen serving as the general MC. On Saturday, October 17, Arikawa Hasasashi Taiko, Shinkamigoto Wind Orchestra, Kuromi The Stage, and special guest Yu Michigoe will appear. On Sunday, October 18, Arikawa Hasasashi Taiko, Udo Dance Team, and special guest Masashi Kumada will liven up the venue. The event is organized by the Goto Udon de Noroshi wo Agero! Executive Committee.
