Japan Startup Ecosystem Bootcamp and Immersion Program for Students in Kumamoto 2026

About this event

This program aims to foster startup talent who will be active globally in the future. Instructors from gener8tor, one of North America's leading startup accelerator organizations, will visit Japan to hold a 3-day bootcamp in Kumamoto. Participants will be evaluated on their communication skills and attitude during the bootcamp, and selected participants can look forward to an invitation to a North American dispatch program where they can directly experience Silicon Valley. Practical contents can be learned, including fundamentals of entrepreneurship and startups, methods for generating and validating business ideas, building businesses with a global market perspective, refining ideas with experts and peers, and presenting results and challenging next steps. It is especially recommended for students who want to take on the challenge of business and entrepreneurship targeting global markets, or students who are interested in overseas ventures and want to experience local business firsthand. JETRO will cover the participation fee for the domestic bootcamp as well as accommodation and transportation expenses for distant participants.
