Held in Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, "Kikuchi White Dragon Festival 2026" is a local festival enlivened by powerful white dragon performances, fireworks, street stalls, and stage presentations. In particular, the highlight is the dynamic performance of a total of four dragons—two adult dragons, a young dragon, and a baby white dragon—carried by a large team of bearers. The sight of parading the four grand white dragons from the shopping street to the Civic Plaza is breathtaking, and approximately 3,000 fireworks will color the night sky to crown the festival's finale. The fireworks will be launched over 30 minutes, including music fireworks whose beauty synchronized with melodies is exceptional. The festival runs from 14:30 to 20:00, with the fireworks scheduled to be launched from 19:30 to 20:00. Visitors can also enjoy stage events by local residents, including calligraphy, baton twirling, and dance performances.
