The "Uki Pottery Kiln Tour", held in Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture, is a stamp-rally-style event that takes participants around local pottery kilns. By visiting four designated kilns, participants have a chance to win wonderful pottery pieces from each kiln in a prize draw. During the event period, nine distinctive kilns—Yamabune Kiln, Fujimoto Onigawara Seisakusho, Hagimi Kiln, Shodaiyaki Matsubase Kiln, Higo Ruri Studio, Katsurahara Kiln, Pottery Studio Anemone, Kentaro Umeda, and Amadayaki Sodo Kiln—will participate, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm and works of each kiln. Operating hours are from 10:00 to 17:00, but as opening and closing hours differ depending on the kiln, advance confirmation is required. This event is a valuable opportunity to experience the traditional ceramic art culture of Uki City and view works filled with the artisans' passion up close.
