About this event

"Run for Sweets in Aso Uchinomaki 2026," a sweets run event where you can run, eat, and smile, will be held in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture. A flat and easy-to-run 900m loop course is prepared for both parent-child and general runs, and at the "Sweets Supply Station" along the way, you can recharge your energy with sweet treats. After the event, an "Aso Sweets Set" selectable from participating shops will be provided as a participation prize. While taking in the magnificent scenery of Aso, you can also enjoy hot springs and sightseeing after the run at this attractive event. Beginners, parent-child pairs, and cosplay participants are all welcome, offering fun for families and friends alike. The parent-child run is open to elementary school children and younger along with a parent, the general run is open to junior high school students and older, and the relay marathon is open to teams of up to 7 members. Participants loop the approximately 0.9km course per set and aim for the goal while enjoying sweets. Anyone in good health who can finish within the time limit is eligible, and participants are required to follow the instructions of the event staff. Free parking for about 100 vehicles is also available at the venue.
