About this event

This event aims to promote tourism for Nishihara Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, and the Tawarayama Exchange Center Moe no Sato through trail running, as well as to revitalize the local community through participant interaction. Three courses are offered: Long Course (approx. 18 km, cumulative elevation gain approx. 1,350 m), Short Course (approx. 4.2 km, cumulative elevation gain approx. 250 m), and Parent-Child Pair Course (approx. 4.2 km, cumulative elevation gain approx. 250 m). Eligibility requires high school students and older for the Long Course, junior high school students and older for the Short Course, and a pair consisting of an elementary school child and an adult relative for the Parent-Child Pair. The entry fee includes participation prize, aid stations, hospitality meal, and accident insurance. Participants are required to have confidence in completing the full race course within the time limit without getting lost, possessing the ability to handle potential issues independently and understanding personal responsibility. Environmental consideration is also emphasized, calling for taking all trash home and showing consideration to other trail users. Wearing earphones during the race is prohibited. Courses may be changed or cancelled due to weather or other reasons at the organizer's discretion.
